I am sick of crooked attorneys and other professionals

I am so upset I can hardly see straight. People that take advantage of others when they are down just sits in my craw. Here is a case of an attorney that buys old collection debts and tries to sue the people that don’t even owe the debt anymore. A good friend has had a long stretch of bad luck when it came to her health that she turned to credit cards to live off of when she could not work. Things only got worse when her health declined even more. She declared bankruptcy out of shear desperation. This was about 7-8 years ago. Since then her health has improved and her life is just starting to turn around. She is a genuinely good person who when you need help she is there. She has taken in animals and foster children over the years out of the goodness of her heart.

Then about 3 months ago she gets this phone call out of the blue from an attorney that claims she owes Discovery Card $17,000.00!! She tells him that she doesn’t owe anyone anything (she doesn’t have any credit cards anymore) and that everything was wiped clean in the bankruptcy years ago. She hasn’t heard anymore from him but she did some research on the scum bag of a lawyer – his name is Derrick McGavic and he has done this before.
